We went back to Moxham Mountain Friday and Saturday, this time with the whole family.
Camping with Janet means high-quality pictures:)
Dinner was alfredo, Asian salad, hot dogs, and brats, so the first order of business was firebuilding.
Adele loves dessert best.
Nancy sent chocolate peanut butter cookies with Andy (like the Girl Scout ones, except chocolate) and Adele made a smore with one of them and one oatmeal chocolate cookie. Smart girl.
Kyle and Lewis liked making giant shadows with a headlamp.
Lewis has lazer eyes in this shot.
Everyone slept well, but Adele slept best.
Pancakes, eggs, oatmeal, and hot chocolate for breakfast.
Lewis loves camping!
Andy did his own food on this trip. Oatmeal with raisins, which he adds while it's cooking, much to Janet's chagrin as a child.
Kyle made the pancakes. They were great!
We saw this logging truck come by empty as we were getting up, and then back the other way totally full during breakfast.
Lewis was excited.
There were many beautiful flowers on the hike.
Kyle and Lewis love hiking together, as always.
Janet and Andy had a long chat on the way up. The girls were naming food for each letter of the alphabet.
I told Lewis last time that when we came back he could climb every rock. He did. This is the biggest one he found.
I decided to join my kiddos on top. The Packs came hiking down the trail while we were up there.
There was lots of rock climbing, and a couple of slices fingers, before our trip was done.
Lots of gorgeous views on the way up. We watched some rain clouds make their way towards us.
Kyle and Grandpa were figuring out which bodies of water were which, and hunting for the Hudson, which runs nearby but can't easily be seen.
We beat the rain by ten minutes, though it only lightly sprinkled on us on the way down.
It wasn't as windy this trip, but it was still more comfortable in the lee of the rock.
