Independence Day

Janet’s friend Carina, and her entire family, invited us to join them on a two week camping vacation through NH, Acadia, and Cape Cod. To start, they drove up to our house for Independence Day. It was an Awesome 2021 Camping Trip, as indicated in the title of the spreadsheet Carina used to plan it out.

Janet is in the process of blogging it all, so definitely check out her much more detailed/thorough pictures:

For now, I’m only posting pictures I personally took. You’ll have to check Janet’s blog for her (better quality) pictures. I may go back through and add more text to describe more of the stuff I didn’t get pictures of. Maybe.

Our kids weren't sure they remembered the Youngs, but in no time on Sunday they were playing like old friends. Adele is in the garden gathering things for dinner.

That night we sang some patriotic songs around the piano, which eventually morphed in Christmas carols. The girls all piled in Camille’s room Sunday night. You could see the fireworks out the front windows, which was great, except the booming kept some kids up much later than they wanted.
